Product Description

What pray tell is Bio-char you ask?

Well, bio-char is an organic solid material obtained from the carbonization of biomass.

Why put it into your potting soil?

To increase soil health by absorbing harmful impurities, increasing h2o retention, and faster nutrient cycling. So your soil is healthy and your plants are health and that = happy you, Duh!

One pint per gallon of good soil.

We use local oak that is locally milled into our tomato stakes. When they break we turn them into char. Made right here on our farm in Pennsylvania.

Growing herbs on a windowsill in Chicago can be tricky business. Happy Cat's Biochar not only helps us grow fantastic mason jar window-herbs, it sucks carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere! Win-win. Thanks, Happy Cat Farms, we will be back for more for sure.
