My admiration for this tomato goes back to when I had to weed William Woys Weaver’s garden called “Roughwood.” Joyfully I call it,” the paste with the taste.” This tomato took William ten years to stabilize. it is a cross between “Yellow Brandywine” and “San Marzano”. The fruits are 3-4” in length. Nice and meaty with very little juice and thick walls. They really do taste like sunshine with a subtle saltiness. They last forever and make great sauce.
